Gaylord, MI – MediLodge of Gaylord recently received a 5-star overall quality rating from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS). A 5-star is the highest possible score and places MediLodge of Gaylord within the top 10 percent of nursing homes nationwide.
The CMS Five-Star Quality Rating System assigns nursing facilities with a rating between 1 and 5. The ratings are based on the following categories – Health Inspections, Quality Measures, and Staffing Levels within the Center. The data for the ratings come from the last three years of health inspections, the average number of hours of care provided to each resident by a member of the Nursing Department, and more than 10 physical and clinical measures.

MediLodge of Gaylord is a licensed 106 bed skilled nursing facility, providing short term rehabilitation and long term care. MediLodge of Gaylord specializes in respiratory services on its 17 bed ventilator dependent unit that is staffed with respiratory therapists 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. The Center also has a 24 bed memory care unit to meet the needs of those with dementia.
